Manifest Artistry teams up with Mary Mattingly
Builds a Security Island off the Coast of the Hamptons
Artists from across the globe contribute work to Mary Mattingly and Paul Middendorf's Security Island. Carefully selecting flags of convenience will line the beach of the Hamptons with Flags of a Different Brand© and patrol the area protecting and securing community, property value, necessity, and capital.
As Part of Scope-Hamptons, the Lifeboat has created MICRO-SCOPE, host to a series of Micro-nations. July 14th- 17th
Mary Mattingly and Paul Middendorf of Manifest Artistry begin their settlement in the Hamptons as a temporary center for artistic and creative attention as well as a mobile base of necessity. Presented by Scope Hamtpons and Perfomance Scope the Lifeboat sails once again.
Performance-scope: Featured performances include , Lifeboat-Hamptons, a vital source of political education in which an island/oasis hosts a group of artists transforming their bodies into well-oiled tanning machines while discussing security, the conditioning of humans, and other related topics against the back drop of island/oasis necessities, including a wading-pool, miniature working fountains, a small vanity table and brands essential to modern culture including Renee Varaâ ¬!"s Branding You Lifestyle and Capitalizing Your Creativity. Additionally, video monitors will be set up by the Lifeboat team and G77, around various pulse-points in Southampton to watch the on-going performance and importance of the newly secured scene. Lifeboat- Hamptons presents works by such groups and artists, such as Red 76 ( PDX), The M.O.S.T. (PDX), G-77 ( NY), Joe Biel (LA), David Eckard, Bruce Conkle, Marne Lucas, Chandra Bocci, Amy Steel, Eugenia Pardue (PDX), The Camouflagemuseum (NL), CBTSA, Fred Fliesher, Eric Peyson, Jason Peters, Laura Was, John Enxuto (NY), and many more.
Mary Mattingly is an artist, who participates in a global arts and technology organization that began in New York. She is represented by Robert Mann Gallery in New York, and has ongoing national and international projects and work with her continuous project A New Breed.
Paul Middendorf, graduate of The School of the Art Institute of Chicago, is an artist/curator living and working in Portland, Or.
