In the “The Kääpä Collection” Tuhkanen collects her memories of walking through forests and fields and her sense of curiosity on finding furrows and holes, dark places full of secrets and questions. Using mushrooms gathered from fallen trees in old growth forests as her canvas she isolates those moments of discovery by creating intimately scaled landscapes of her own.
