The “Sunken City” series combines Shirley’s practices into a multi-media abstract landscape of uncertain scale and timeframe. This new series examines space, place and structure. Shirley explores new perspectives for our collective future, loosely implying utopian environments of awe-inspiring proportions. Raphaele Shirley is a co-founder of PAM, has exhibited at top institutions and just completed a large public commission at Utsikten Art Center in Kvinesdal, Norway.
